Vitamin Safety - An Introduction to Vitamin Basics
Just because vitamins, minerals, herbs and other dietary supplements are "natural", doesn't mean they are harmless. They are still chemicals that cause a reaction within the body.
Taken in high dosages, some of these items can be toxic. Some have bad interactions with other medications or supplements. Some can deplete the body or lead to an imbalance of other vitamins and minerals. Some have adverse reactions when taken for prolonged periods of time.
