Herbal Smoking Remedies
Congratulations on investigating new ways to stop smoking. Quitting smoking is one of the most positive steps you can make towards improving your health, quality of life and longevity. Now if there were only some magic herbal pill to stop the addiction.
Alternative anti-smoking therapies include acupuncture and hypnosis, but there are a few herbal products on the market that claim to reduce cravings and relieve withdrawal symptoms that may be worth a shot. Lobelia inflata (Indian tobacco): Similar to nicotine but non-addictive, so it slowly helps reduce the desire to smoke.
Plantago major (Plantain): It produces distaste for tobacco.
Cinchona officinalis (Peruvian bark): Helps to reduce edginess and nervous exhaustion often experienced with nicotine withdrawal.
Daphne indica (Spurge laurel) - Helps reduce cravings and sleeplessness.
Make sure you take plenty of antioxidants, vitamin C, folic acid, thiamine, vitamin B6 and calcium to help your body through the process of quitting smoking.
