Receding Gums
What vitamins can help with receding gums?
A receding gum line is a sign of gum disease, caused when excessive plaque build-up hardens into tartar and infects the gums. Co-enzyme Q10 can help increase the circulation of oxygen in cells and can reduce the pain, inflammation and bleeding associated with this condition. Vitamin C can be effective at preventing periodontal disease. Vitamins A, E and folic acid are other vitamins important for healthy gums. Green tea can improve gum health, and can help fight bad breath. Of course, brushing and flossing regularly is the best way to avoid receding gums.
