Help With Gout

What vitamins or minerals should I take for gout?

Gout is a metabolic disorder primarily caused by excessive uric acid in the blood. It causes pain and inflammation around the joints. Acute flair-ups may be helped by taking bromelain, and enzyme derived from pineapples. This works best in conjunction with the flavenoid quercetin, and together they can prevent gout attacks. Vitamin C is also recommended, as is drinking cherry or blueberry juice. There is some evidence to suggest that flaxseed oil hinders the production of leukotrienes, which contribute to some symptoms of gout.
