Vitamin B12 Injections

Where on the body do you inject vitamin B12?

For some conditions, such as pernicious anemia, vitamin B12 injections may be recommended. Injected B12 reaches the blood stream faster and more directly than pills without being diluted by the gastro-intestinal tract, and proponents believe it is more a effective delivery method than sublingual liquids. Usually the vitamin is injected into a muscle like the thigh or buttocks. Your health practitioner can administer it, or instruct you how to administer it to yourself.
