Bruising

If every little bump and bang seems to leave you black and blue, you might want to increase your intake of vitamin C - try to find a formula that contains bioflavenoids, which tend to work better. Applying vitamin C creams to a bruise may help it heal faster. Vitamin K, which promotes blood clotting and strengthens blood vessel walls, may help bruises heal and fade when applied topically. Also, increasing your intake of zinc and vitamin E can help. While these vitamin and mineral therapies can be effective, if you feel you are prone to excessive bruising check with your doctor to rule out any serious health conditions.
